But I only used it because I knew I was going to have a long day but still wanted to see how it would perform. Despite this being a liquid to powder foundation, I used a light dusting of a random colorless translucent powder to set it. I’m not gonna lie…spending the day at Malibu in the sun was great. It doesn’t have that flat matte look at all and the color was a perfect match considering I’m tanned right now. The coverage is medium to full depending on how many layers you use and it has a natural matte finish. I buffed in the first layer (a single pump) in the center and worked my way out, then repeated the same step. I applied this foundation with my Real Techniques stippling brush (because anything else is uncivilized). Thankfully, they had a mirror at the display because I wasn’t sure it I was Toffee (Q820) or Golden Honey (Q825) but simply holding the bottle up to my face narrowed down the selection to Gold Honey. As soon as I spotted CoverGirl Queen All Day Flawless 3-in-1 Foundation at Wal-mart I snagged it. But when I start seeing nothing but stellar reviews of that same foundation I know it’s something special that I have to try for myself. When I start seeing people showing interest in new foundations, I typically shrug it off.
